Applications are now open for our Fall 2026 Funding & Grant Round. During this round, we encourage faculty, graduate students and post-docs focused on the study of pre-modern cultures and societies through any academic discipline to apply.

Grants can cover travel and other research expenses during the spring semester or the summer, or events and conferences to be held in 2027-28, or in a future academic year. For event planning purposes, you are encouraged to apply well ahead of time: at least a year is ideal for large-scale conferences.

Please note that graduate student applications require the support of a faculty member (graduate students should complete the application form first, leaving plenty of time to forward it on to a faculty supporter to complete their letter of recommendation).

Individuals are welcome to submit more than one application.

All application materials must be received by 5pm on December 1, 2026.
